Parents' Club Meetings - Usually meet the first Wednesday of the month, at 8:30 am in the Parent Club Room.  Check  the calendar each month to confirm.

General Parents’ Meeting – September - The General Parents’ Meeting is held in early September. It is the one time in the year that the entire community gathers.  There is a meeting in the gymnasium with announcements and information about the coming year, followed by parent education meetings in the children’s classrooms.  The Dad’s Committee hosts a Parent Social following the classroom meetings. 

Tennis Tournament – Fall - There is something for everyone at the St. Alcuin Tennis Tournament—beginners, intermediate and advanced players or those who have never played.  Everyone is welcome to take a lesson or play a few games and meet other St. Alcuin parents.  After tennis, the players enjoy lunch while relating fun tennis stories!

Butterfly Fun Run – November - Come on out on a Saturday morning in the fall to run, walk, ride or just watch the Butterfly Fun Run.  This fun-filled event is for adults and children.  And, in the true spirit of Maria Montessori, everyone is a winner at the Butterfly Fun Run!

Holiday Party – December - An early December date is reserved for this adults-only St. Alcuin community holiday party.  A generous St. Alcuin family opens their home for this evening cocktail event.  It is a fun night to visit with parents and staff in a relaxed setting before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season begins.

The Annual Auction – April - This effort sponsored by the Parents’ Club takes in all parts of our community--parents, students and staff. Each year the auction brings the community a wonderful evening, filled with an interesting theme and exciting activities. Monies raised at the auction have supported the staff retirement plan, built the pavilion, supported financial aid, purchased Montessori materials and contributed to Capital Campaigns.  Always a big hit at the auction are the individual classroom projects built with student, teacher and parent help. The online auction begins several weeks before the event, so be sure to watch your E newsletters for important preview opportunities and the opening of online bidding.

International Festival – May – We gather as a community for this colorful Festival.  Our families all come together to celebrate their heritage, with delicious food samples and booths filled with cultural information.  A Parade of Nations and ethnic performances help to make this a most enjoyable gathering. The festival is sometimes combined with the Family Picnic, below.

Family Picnic – May - This is a wonderful community event that will combine the fun of a picnic with the unique international flavor of our diverse school community. We welcome our upcoming new families to this late spring event, so they can begin to meet new friends and feel a part of the school.  There are always a myriad of activities to enjoy, as the  Parents’ Club ensures that we relax and enjoy a great time together.
