The Primary Program consists of classroom communities of children, ages 3 to 6 years old. It is designed to recognize each child's natural love of order, independent work, concentration and self-discipline. These characteristics require a carefully prepared environment and highly trained teachers who guide the children through exploration and learning. Assistants in each classroom help to ensure guidance through learning activities.
The Primary classroom provides experienced-based activities in practical life, language development, sensorial exploration, mathematics, science, geography, physical education, art, and music. Because of the especially sensitive period for language acquisition, St. Alcuin’s Spanish language program starts in the Primary classroom.
Each classroom has an extended outdoor environment where the students can learn and explore nature.
